During the After Show, Gayle King says she thinks it’s true that she was up against Whoopi Goldberg for the same seat on The View and that she knew she wasn’t getting it because gossip columnist Cindy Adams wrote that she wouldn’t, adding that Barbara Walters called her personally to say that the show decided to go in another direction.
