See How Lisa & the Vanderpump Rules Cast Celebrated the “End of an Era” at Pump

Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, and Lala Kent shared a look inside Lisa Vanderpump’s closing party for the beloved restaurant.

Lisa Vanderpump announced in May that Pump would close its doors in July after 10 years in business, and on July 2, the Vanderpump Rules restaurateur officially said goodbye to her beloved restaurant with an epic bash.

How to Watch

Many of the Vanderpump Rules cast members attended the event, including Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, and Katie Maloney, who shared a look at their stunning outfits before they arrived. “Come on Barbie let’s go party,” Scheana captioned an Instagram Story photo that showed her pink square-neck minidress with feathery details and Lala’s purple sequined dress with side cutouts. Katie also posted an Instagram Story photo of her ensemble, which included a semi-sheer long-sleeved black minidress, matching boots, and a silver butterfly necklace.

Scheana continued to document the fun-filled night once the group arrived at Pump. In one video, Katie sipped on a Pumptini while sitting next to Ariana Madix, and in another, which Lala reposted, Scheana and Lala were all smiles as they danced in their seats. In her final Story from the evening, Scheana showed Lisa giving an emotional speech to partygoers.

Lisa’s daughter, Pandora Vanderpump Sabo, also shared a few snaps, including one that showed multiple Polaroid photos taken during the party placed on a Pump menu. “End of an era,” she wrote. In another photo, she posed with Lisa and Ken Todd in the Pump garden.

Pump’s official Instagram account posted a sweet photo of Lisa and Ken smiling in the restaurant’s stunning outdoor area, adding in a caption, “Thank you for 10 years of [Pump].”

Why did Pump close?

On May 4, Lisa, Ken, and the Pump team shared the news that Pump would no longer be in business. “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that the lease at Pump Restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees,” the team shared in a statement to TMZ that was later posted to the restaurant’s Instagram account.

The message on Pump’s Instagram concluded: “We will be open throughout Pride month in West Hollywood, to support the local community with one last hurrah, and we look forward to welcoming you all to TomTom [and] SUR in the months following!”

As for why it was time to close the doors, the statement to TMZ read, “While we have loved our time operating Pump, to take on another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords is not something we are ready to commit to. After successfully running 37+ establishments for many years, this type of rent is untenable.”

Lisa Vanderpump announces new restaurants

Although Lisa and Ken made the difficult choice to shut down their beloved business, they now have new restaurants in the works.

During a March appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lisa was talking about her Vanderpump à Paris restaurant that was featured on Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules and shared, “This is our second project in Vegas, and it’s gone so well, so we’re working on two more Vanderpump Alain [restaurants], and it is so exciting.”

On June 15, she gave details on another new venture. “We are thrilled to announce that we will be expanding with [Caesars Entertainment] and bringing our signature bespoke design to Northern Nevada with the opening of Wolf by Vanderpump at Harveys Lake Tahoe!” Lisa wrote in the caption of a June 14 Instagram video. “Opening this winter, Wolf will be filled with bold and unique design, taking elements from the character and identity of the wolf itself.”
