So When Is Something About Her *Actually* Opening? See Katie & Ariana’s Hilarious Response
Vanderpump Rules business partners Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix found the best way to share an update on their sandwich shop.
The decor is nearly done. The food looks amazing. The merch is already bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars. So when are Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney going to officially open the doors to their sandwich shop? Allow the Vanderpump Rules business partners to explain.
When is Something About Her opening?
On Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, Katie and Ariana told host Andy Cohen that they thought Something About Her would be open by the end of May. However, a Los Angeles Times interview that was published on May 24 noted, “The pair don’t yet have an opening date for their new endeavor; in an ideal world, Maloney says, it will be as soon as possible.”
Katie shared another update later that month. “We were hoping by, like, end of May, but you know, in the nature of these things and starting a restaurant, there’s always gonna be things,” Katie shared on the May 31 episode of the So Bad It’s Good with Ryan Bailey podcast. “Our design and build-out and everything is gonna be finished by the end of May, so we’re not wrong about one of the things. We are gonna be open this summer… I’m hesitant to give a more specific time because the last thing I want to do is [have] people like, ‘You said…’”
“There [are] so many moving parts, and there [are] so many things that need to happen that sometimes ultimately aren’t really up to you, [like] when things can get approved… It’s just there’s a lot that goes into it. But yeah, it’s gonna be this summer, and we are really excited.”
Since then, anticipation for the shop has only been building, and, yes, Katie and Ariana seem to be well aware that fans are eager to buy their sandwiches. In a June 27 TikTok video from Something About Her’s official account, the business partners filmed a hilarious response to the question, “When are you guys opening?”
In the clip, Katie and Ariana did a voice-over to a scene from Parks and Recreation, in which they mouthed, “Well, that’s interesting, you know why? Because —” before running away.
All jokes aside, the caption of the video stated, “Don’t worry, it’s coming!” See the video here:
