Kristen Doute Bought a House: "Y'all... I Am a Homeowner"

We’re guessing if you're part of the Vanderpump Rules crew and you don’t own a house right now, you’re feeling a little left out. Why? Because it seems everyone is doing it!

First there was Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, who dropped a cool $2 million on a stunning home a few months ago. (Haven’t seen their house yet? Stop what you’re doing and click here ASAP.) Next up, Katie Schwartz-Maloney announced on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she and her hubs, Tom Schwartz, were in escrow on a home. (And she’s just like us when it comes to moving — Katie thinks packing sucks, too.)

Then, of course, there was that moment just last week when engaged lovebirds Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced that they are also buying a house. So, while we shouldn’t be surprised that Kristen Doute is the latest SUR alum to become a homeowner… we still are. Purchasing a house is an expensive, arduous process, even more so in Los Angeles, where the median home price is nearly $1 million.

And the fact that it seems as though Kristen did it all by herself makes the accomplishment even more impressive. Like Southern Charm’s Chelsea Meissner, Kristen purchased a home on her own. (Missed Chelsea's home tour? Check it out here.)

Kristen is clearly giddy about achieving this huge goal. “Guess what today is?” she asked her Instagram followers yesterday, while getting glammed up before an event. “I get the keys to my house today!” Then later she introduced her pups to their new digs, saying, “Bowie, mama bought you a house!” (How did that sweet dog thank her? By pooping on the carpet, of course.)

Kristen’s friend also posted a video, congratulating her on being a homeowner, to which Kristen replied, laughing, “I’m scared shitless.”

We hear you, girl. With great power comes great responsibility. But something tells us you got this. Now give us all a tour, mmk?
