Padma Lakshmi Shouts Out the Top Chef Crew and "All the People Helping Working Mothers Get it Done"
The host of Bravo's Top Chef took time out to recognize the village in a throwback breastfeeding pic.
Padma Lakshmi is working mom who understands what every person in that category — no matter their profile — faces: an abundant life of multitasking and hustling, sometimes requiring almost superhuman emotional strength and detail mindedness just to get through a given day. (And then get up and do it all over again. And then someone gets sick, and then...)
The judge of Bravo's Top Chef also knows that it takes a village to support those working moms while they juggle all the — ahem — plates. That might include friends, family — and, if you're lucky, co-workers who get it. In a recent Instagram post ahead of Mother's Day, Padma posted a sweet throwback photo, in which she feeds her infant on a nursing pillow on her lap, while doing her makeup and curling her hair.
She captioned the snap: "Multi-tasking: level 100. Cheers to all of the people helping working mothers get it done! Special thanks to my crew past and present on @bravotopchef for your love & support."
She also used hashtags to acknowledge "#breastfeeding" and "#mothersday."
Cheers indeed to power mama Padma, to the crew of Bravo's Top Chef... and to all other working moms and their supporters!
