Calamari, Prawn Tempura And French Fries? Where the Ladies Dine on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip

The ladies of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip are enjoying their dinners with a side of drama in Thailand in Season 3. Here's what restaurant they visited in Phuket in Episode 2 of RHUGT.

The second episode features serious tension between The Real Housewives of Miami's Alexia Nepola and The Real Housewives of New York City's Leah McSweeney — all around a table at the restaurant KEP Phuket, which ironically has the slogan “calm and enjoy the vibes" on its website.

Unfortunately, it’s dark when the Housewives arrive at KEP, so we didn’t really get to see the tropical ocean views and Mediterranean design of the outside of the restaurant. But what we did get a glimpse of was gorgeous: tons of jungle trees and foliage as the women first sit in a lounge area by a bar.

Even the lighting is art, with twinkle lights are strung from the ceilings. The dinner table is also out on a deck, with greenery and plenty of plants around.

Leah ordered for the table and it's mouthwatering just to hear the list of food offered: bruschetta, fried calamari, prawn tempora, grilled veggies… and French fries. Yes, you read that right. The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Candiace Dillard Bassett flew all the way to Thailand to request French fries at a Thai restaurant. We can't blame her — they are the perfect table-side dish.

(Speaking of other unusual food requests on this trip, earlier in Episode 2, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams requested KFC chicken and potatoes with gravy from the concierge, Pepsi, and he delivered!)

KEP Phuket has a wide variety of choices on its menu on its Facebook page, including items like Royal Crab Cake Benedict for breakfast or brunch. There are also several open-faced crostini choices, like seared rib eye and caramelized onion or guacamole and smoked salmon.

Besides that prawn tempora Leah ordered, there are other seafood choices, including fried calamari, fish carpaccio, oysters, and lobster sashimi. Many sushi rolls are also on the menu, as well as tons of pasta options (including a black ink spaghetti with grilled squids egg).

Pizza is also a choice, but with an added seafood twist to the classic dish, like the KEP Supreme, which comes with Andaman King prawn, Andaman tuna, Norwegian salmon, crab meat, capers, and olives.

Around the same time she proclaimed she was bored by the dinner conversation, Leah also commented she liked the music at the restaurant — so A+ vibes at KEP Phuket, according to the Housewives!
