Gizelle: Katie Calling Me a Hypocrite Makes No Sense
Gizelle can't understand why Katie is upset about reading a public blog - and defends that "unassumingly smart" comment.
Bravotv.com: What do you think of Katie’s reaction to your concerns about her gala and her "kicking you off" the committee?
Gizelle Bryant: The way that Katie says "not sure" about EVERY question asked in reference to an event that she is putting together is AMAZING. It inspires me to want to throw a big charity gala. I don't need to know who's coming, have a venue, or even invite people, but it's going to be a HUGE success. Katie kicking Robyn and I off the committee and even uninviting us to the event made me feel so sad inside that I almost shed a tear....HA! I was actually relieved…who wants to put on boxing gloves and step into a heavy weight fight in order to help someone? I was shocked that Katie got so defensive so fast, we were just asking for clarity, we didn't ask for a kidney or a pint of blood, just a venue and a guest list...geesh!
Bravotv.com: Did you think Katie would be so upset about you reading her blog? What do you think about Katie calling you a hypocrite?
GB: Relationships are tough, even the best of them, and break-ups are even tougher. Figuring out how to handle the break-up can be even harder. That is why I love that everyone, I mean everyone writes a blog about their break-up and posts it on the internet for the world to read. And when I say EVERYONE, I'm only talking about Katie. How do you post a blog for the world to read, but then get mad when people read it? It's like inviting everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner and then get mad when people start eating the food...Makes. No. Sense. Katie calling me a hypocrite, I will refer back to the previous sentence...Makes. No. Sense.
Bravotv.com: Why were you so upset about the accommodations – had there been rooms available would you have really left?
GB: Per Ashley's admission, she didn't want to be honest about the accommodations because she felt like if she was then I wouldn't have come. I don't like to be lied to under any circumstances. Tell me the truth, tell me that I'm going sleep in a kiddie bed with Robyn and stuffed animals. Then let me make the decision as to whether or not I want to participate. Lying to me is big time shady and makes me want to cuss everybody and anybody.
Bravotv.com: What did you mean when you said Katie was unassumingly smart?
GB: Unassumingly smart is a compliment. Come on let’s face it, Katie doesn't look like she is about to recite a couple of pages of War and Peace, or the Constitution. Katie is a fun loving girl who loves to laugh. Every so often when you think she's not listening she will say something brilliant. It makes you pause and reflect. You tilt your head slightly to the side and just say, well where the hell did that come from?!?!
