Heather Dubrow Explains the Surprising Reason She Doesn’t Miss Her Iconic “Chateau”
The RHOC cast member has no regrets about selling her jaw-dropping house in 2022.
As Heather Dubrow explains in the video above, her former house was so iconic that it had “become sort of a character” on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Although many viewers were shocked when Heather and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, decided to sell the jaw-dropping home in 2022, it turns out the decision was fairly easy for the RHOC cast member — and she has no regrets about it today.
During Heather’s June 21 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the titular host quickly brought up Heather’s recent real estate move. “You sold the house for like $200 million,” he joked before asking, “Do you miss it?” (Although the couple didn’t actually sell the house for $200 million, it did reportedly go for a record-breaking $55 million.)
Much to Andy’s surprise, Heather responded, “No.”
“You don’t?” Andy asked. “That was your dream house.” However, Heather explained, “That was [Terry’s] dream house.”
“I do love building houses and all of that, but we had lived there longer than we had ever lived anywhere,” Heather continued. “We lived there for six years. We’ve been together almost 30 years, and we’ve never lived longer than three years in a place, until this house, because we tend to just redo houses and do real estate and that’s part of our thing.”
Heather went on to explain, “I was like the house manager. It was a small hotel. Not to be ungrateful… very grateful, but it was a job. With two kids gone and another one out the door and the [fourth] one dangling on, I’m kind of like looking forward to living in the apartment and being alone.”
Where are Heather and Terry Dubrow living now?
Just a few days before Heather confirmed she had sold her house in October 2022, she revealed at BravoCon 2022 that she and Terry bought a “love shack” in Los Angeles. However, she later clarified that the incredible penthouse is not yet the couple’s primary residence.
“We didn’t actually move [to Century City], we bought a place there and that’s supposed to be a place for me and Terry to live someday, like when the kids leave. So there’s a little bit of a misconception here,” she told The Wrap in April. “We are actually still living in Orange County. Our kids go to school there. We’re still in Orange County.”
