Heather discusses Slade's comedy routine and Alexis' apology.
Please forgive me if I am a little brief this week, my little baby Collette has been so sick! I have a little time while she is napping right now. . .
First of all, I wanted to say "thank you" to Alexis for her apology. That was very sweet, and I appreciated the sentiment. I realize I am very straightforward, and that can be off putting to some people. I think by the end of lunch we had a better understanding of each other. Time will tell. . .
I think Tamra and Eddie are so cute together! I am proud of Tamra for putting her children first. As I have said before -- you can't play house when you have kids. You need a firm commitment!
Gretchen and Slade's show. . . there were a lot of inside jokes that Terry and I didn't understand. We'd never seen The Real Housewives of Orange County before joining, so many of the references of past 'Wives on the show went over our heads!
I will say this, doing comedy is very difficult . . .I did do a little stand up myself as research for a musical I did (Yes, it's true. I wasn't very good, but it was a great experience!). I give Slade a lot of credit for getting up on the stage and trying it out! I also think in comedy you write about what you know, which he did. . .I just feel that if you are going to make fun of a group, make fun of everyone in the group. . . or else it can look targeted and malicious.
And Gretchen!!!! I swear I can never imagine being arrested, but if I ever go to jail it better not be with you!!! How is it that you look so good in that orange jumpsuit? Crazy! I wouldn't want to stand next to you!
Vicki, I love your relationship with Briana! You two are so sweet together. It makes me wish my mom lived closer. It was very scary to hear about Briana's health issues. You never want to hear your child is sick. I can't imagine how devastating this was for you to hear. You are such a loving, caring mother, and it really comes across when you two are together.
OK, speaking of motherhood, I hear Collette stirring and I'm going to feed her lunch before picking up the other three kids! Orthodontist appointments today! Very glamorous!
Hope you enjoyed the show. . .'Till next week!
