Love In the Air
Jeana Keough reveals more about her date with Allan, and shares her thoughts on the season finale!
My birthday date with Allan was magical, thanks to the flowers, the limo, and a beautiful Bottega Veneta Hobo Purse in dark purple with matching wallet. I didn't think a man could ever get the right purse for a woman — a purse is such a personal thing. But he did it. We had dinner at the St. Regis, on the balcony with the sunset over the water. Then the next day he had a surprise birthday lunch for me with 10 of my best girlfriends at the pool at The Montage. We swam and ate and had girl talk and it was the best birthday surprise ever. All the girls went up and got ready together in the suite, with wine and champagne, and that night he had 5 couples join us at The Montage for another group birthday. It was the birthday event for me.
Allan and I still see each other occasionally — he just lives in Arizona and is extremely busy. I really enjoy his company and his kids are great. He owns his own company, NABERS, which moves large companies from one place to another. My son Shane, his son Lance, and his daughter Lili are living with him now until April 1st, and then Shane and Lance leave spring training to report to their team. They are eating him out of house and home. I haven't dated anyone else — I am too busy working out and I have 15 listings to manage and sell. I am looking for a strong, caring, man who adores me! That isn't too much to ask for, I hope!
I don't know why the other girls judged Gretchen. When I was her age, I had three serious boyfriends, and then I picked one and married him. To me it is perfectly normal to date until you are engaged, as long as you are honest there shouldn't be any problems.I don't judge people by any criteria other than how they treat me and everyone else. Gretchen has been delightful and fun and has always been gracious and sweet to everyone. My kids think she is the bomb. She and Kara share the same birthday, her parents are awesome, Jeff was a true gentlemen and adored her and she him.
Gretchen had an ex-boyfriend and an ex-husband, who I am sure helped her through tough times. When something like this happens people want to help you. I know my ex is always there for me, as I would be for him if he ever needed anything. I have stayed friends with all of my past relationships. Each one has a little piece of my heart, forever. I don't blame her for reaching out to someone in her past and don't know why anyone would care.
I loved our final party — Evolution's Producers really surprised us with a special place, The Cliffs. Thanks to Kathleen French and Pete Tartaglia! I want my next wedding there! Gretchen's boyfriend surprised her with a motorcycle and the sweetest letter. My date, Allan, was there and got to meet the rest of my friends. Colton and his date had a great time with Uncle Richie, Chef Chaz Bradley, and of course my dearest friend, Rebecca Voss. Ulie from Project Runway designed my dress and it was so pretty. It was great seeing Tammy Knickerbocker, Lindsey, Megan, Kimberly Bryant, Jo and Slade. Reunions are always a great time to catch up with everybody. We may seem a very dysfunctional lot but there was a lot of love in the air!
Thanks for a great season everybody. Thanks for watching, for making us the highest rated show on Bravo, for all your blogs, and for all your emails and words of support. Don't forget to tune in to our New York friends and keep an eye out for more blogs, because I have to get even with Bethenny!
