Q&A with Michael
Michael Gunvalson gives us the low-down on his mom's first keg stand.
We called over to the frat house and interrupted what was surely some serious studying to talk with Michael about his episode of "Real Housewives."
Bravotv.com: Tonight is your big episode. Are you prepared?
Yeah. My friends and I are getting ready for it. They're all pretty excited for it.
Bravotv.com: You don't come off well in it. Yeah, I know.
Bravotv.com: Do you have anything you want to say to the fans of the show?
How I'm edited on TV is not how I am in real life. I have plenty of friends and I go to class, and I love my mom. I didn't quite get a 3.5. I'm not getting a car. (laughs)
Bravotv.com: So your mom comes and brings a case of beer as a surprise. How did that go?
Well, at first I was really upset that she was there, that she came and didn't tell me, but after a while we had a good time. She hung out with my friends, it was fun.
Bravotv.com: It looks fun. She does a keg stand.
Yeah. I figured if she was going to surprise me, I was going to get her up on the keg.
Bravotv.com: Do people recognize you on campus?
Last year, not really. But since the new season, I think a lot more people are watching. I get spotted on campus every now and then.
Bravotv.com: People have a perception of growing up in Orange County. What do you think everyone says about it?
I think people realize that it takes a lot of money to live there. You have to have a pretty nice job. Everyone is pretty well off. And the kids are mostly spoiled.
Bravotv.com: Is it a true stereotype?
I think so. But we don't always look at it like that. It's just our lives.
Bravotv.com: Are you close with your sister?
Yeah, we talk every now and then. We're good friends, we can pretty much tell each other anything.
Bravotv.com: What else about you should we know?
I'm still together with Lauren, we've been together for a while now, things are good. I'm a psychology major at CU Boulder. I'm a junior.
Bravotv.com: How are things with your mom?
My mom and I get along great, actually. We're good friends. And that's good. Yeah, I love my mom.
