Lizzie: Last Year Was Crazy!
Lizzie opens up about her previous issues with Tamra and discusses the group's incredible weekend in Napa.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. We spent the weekend soaking up the sun at the beach and at the water park in our neighborhood with tons of family and friends. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend here in Orange County and so great to be surrounded by loved ones. I am traveling back to Kentucky this week with Preston and Kingston to see my parents. My boys absolutely love the country and Papa and Gammi's farm is more exciting to them than Disneyland. I can't wait to give my dad a big hug.
Tonight we are off to Napa Valley for the launch of Collette!
Heather and Terry hosted an absolutely incredible weekend in Napa. Everything was planned perfectly. When I get the chance I love to fly private and it was really fun with all girls. Yes, I had more luggage than my little carry on I boarded the plane with. I sent my big bag with Christian. Who doesn't want to fly with as little as possible?
It was interesting to see how Tamra explained our "situation" from last year. I never went out of my way to cross Tamra. I simply stood up for myself. I realize now that standing your ground with Tamra isn't the most popular thing to do. Unfortunately, I learned the repercussions of standing up for myself the hard way. I would have never imagined that my body, my parenting, and my marriage would have be attacked; let alone have my cell phone number posted on the internet for simply standing up for what was right. Last year was crazy! However, like I said last week, we are both in different places and I have no reason to throw any of that in her face or attempt to relive any of it. When we first met, we got along great and we are getting along great now. Who wants to rock that boat?
I had the chance to get to know Meghan and Katie a little better on the trip. Katie Hamilton is probably one of the sweetest souls that I have ever met in my life. I have really enjoyed her friendship and getting to know her better. Meghan and Jim are a really fun couple and both Christian and I enjoyed hanging out with them. Jim is super laid back and a true guy's guy just like Christian. Meghan is fun and outspoken. The only thing that I had a hard time grasping was why Meghan kept continually trying to fuel issues with Shannon. It's no surprise that Shannon is a very good friend of mine. Can I just say, not one time did Shannon ever say to me that she thought Meghan was flirting with her husband? I don't know why that keeps being brought up.
Heather and Terry's event went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful event in a beautiful place with beautiful people. Heather was a fantastic host. Everyone had a great time at the launch party. The only thing missing was Vicki.
