Let faith, not your hurts, shape your future. . .

My thoughts and prayers are with all the women and their families this week during all the unexpected hardships, health matters, pain, and for the overall well-being of their lives. Either good or bad, life is all about change, for the most part, and with any change. . .comes faith.

To not only have faith in the lives of those this week that have been given amazing opportunities ahead of them with successful outcomes to look forward to, but FAITH for those this week that are unfortunately faced with all of the frustration of the unknown and having to deal with the sadness, pain, and worry to stay strong and to keep hope and faith in their lives that everything will turn out for the best for them as well.

I pray that both Alexis and Vicki's daughter both have safe, successful surgeries and recoveries resulting in nothing but good results from both of their doctors about any health concerns they might have.

Speaking of concerns, I definently have one in regards to Heather and her idea of successfully owning, operating, and maintaining a full blown restaurant in Orange County without any prior experience. I must admit the O.C. is without a doubt in need of some new good restaurants, but, in my opinion Heather's idea sounds very risky. It's her approach to enter this new idea. To number one: start a restaurant without a written agreement; number two: have no prior knowledge or experience in the restaurant industry whatsoever; and most importantly number three: to attempt to run the business with just her girlfriends sounds very risky in every aspect.

This is no part-time job as she makes it sound. Even with a business plan, investors, a nice location, and good food, it just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. I would have to say that I'm with Vicki 100 percent on this one! I think it's great that they want to all get together and open a restaurant for fun on their "free time" during the day, like it's a trip to the mall or something -- but let's keep it real. Opening a business takes a lot of sacrifice emotionally, physically, and financially. The restaurant business is known as one of the hardest industries to break into successfully. From a statistical standpoint, most restaurants usually do not survive more than two years -- at the most.

I think it was very judgmental of Heather to blame Vicki's personal issues (her divorce and her daughter being sick) for her opinionated and negative comments at the lunch meeting in LA. She had many good points and, in my opinion, a very realistic, perspective on what they were really looking at long term.

Heather brought Vicki to the meeting for a reason -- because she knows what she is talking about! She owns her own company and knows what it takes to make a business successful. It's not just a nine to five job, and she was just voicing her opinion. I thought was very rude what Heather said about Vicki. I personally think she really owes her an apology and should definitely take her advice on this one and continue to just eat at restaurants instead of owning them. LOL!

I have invested many times in my life and have learned the hard way that it’s never a good idea to mix business with pleasure. A friend investing together most often isn’t the best idea. It’s just not worth losing a good friendship over something going wrong. This is a huge long-twrm commitment.

Running and operating a business is a 24/7 job and not something to just jump into right away without really looking at the larger picture and risks involved. I think all that Vicki was trying to trying to do was to portray a successful business women's point of view. I give credit where credit is due. She knows what she is doing, and if I were them I would take her advice and call it a day. But if they do decide go for it -- more power to them! I wish them all the best!

On a more positive note I want to say that I'm soooo excited for Gretchen's upcoming perform with the Pussycat Dolls in Las Vegas. This is such an amazing opportunity, and she is going to do great. I can't wait!!!

I know that I haven't been around as much as I would have liked to have been for both of them through all of this. But, even though I was going through a lot at home with Kurt, there was absolutely NO WAY that I was going to miss this that's for sure! I am definitely going to be there to cheer her on! This is going to be so much fun to see!

As one of my best friends, Gretchen will always have my love and support in everything she does. Honestly I couldn't have asked for better friends. They have always been there for me and just as much as I needed them during this rough time in my life, I know they need me too. They know I'm here for them always.
