Luann D'Agostino: Sonja's Loose Lips Have Gotten Her in Hot Water

With friendships, I believe that it’s OK to let some stuff slide, but if something is really bothering me, I try to talk it out. Dorinda is the same way. She wants to say her piece and then move on. So when she got on a roll at Ramona’s dinner party about how she was tired of seeing her name in the press in connection with Sonja, the delivery might not have been fabulous, but I know I was behind Dorinda all the way, and I wasn’t the only one! Sonja’s loose lips (and that’s an understatement) have gotten her in hot water not only with Dorinda, but with me too. I felt the best solution was to get Dorinda away from the table for a glass of wine so that she could regroup. Sonja stayed calm and respectful and that is why I think the next day, at my brunch, she was able to hug it out with Dorinda.

I was glad to have the ladies over for brunch, and I was looking forward to showing them my new addition. When I found this house in Sag Harbor, I knew immediately that I wanted to add a master suite, and I have to say, I’m very happy with my decision. The space is beautiful, and it gives me more room for guests, which is a plus, especially in the summer. I felt that a toast to friendship and happiness was appropriate since Dorinda made up with Sonja and Sonja apologized to me and everyone was getting along. I think the stars were in alignment that day? As for Sonja getting angry with Tinsley about not being invited out with mutual friends, I can see both sides. Sonja was feeling excluded while Tinsley was doing what Sonja said she should do by establishing her own friendships. How they worked through their feelings shows once again that it’s better to talk it out and then hug it out!
