Luann de Lesseps: I Couldn’t Have Made It Through This Past Year Without My Besties
"This season, you’ll see how much friends matter when life isn’t going as planned."
Welcome back to New York, my friends! This season is the best one yet, and we have trips planned to the Bezerkshires (what possible could go wrong there?) and to Miami. You’ll also get to see my new home in Upstate New York. This past year has been amazing for me, and the changes have all been positive.
I’ve been sober since my return to rehab, and my relationship with my children has never been better. The look on their faces when they see me on stage gives me great joy.
“Countess and Friends," my new cabaret, is selling out venues all over the country and people are loving the show, which is both humbling and exciting. The Jovani gowns are showstoppers, and I get to wear several during each performance. Later in the season, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to mount an ever-changing cabaret.
While some of us have changed for the better since we were last airing, Ramona is still Ramona, with a singer-stinger that keeps on giving. She’s still flirting and hurting, and it shows.
Sonja, on the other hand, has simplified her life, found an assistant, and is looking incredibly rested and happy. This season, you’ll see how much friends matter when life isn’t going as planned. I couldn’t have made it through this past year without my besties, including construction guru Barbara K. I met Barbara a long time ago when our kids were at camp in the Hamptons. We bonded over a sand pit! Barbara is a loyal friend, and it’s great to have her on the show. You are going to love her!
