Avery Singer Is a Brunette Now and We're Obsessed with Her New Look

The Real Housewives of New York City mom Ramona Singer and daughter Avery Singer are known for their twinning, sun-kissed blonde lobs — but no more! Avery just made a dramatic hair color change that came as a complete surprise to her mom. "Joined the dark side, thank you @juliusmichael1," the newly brunette Avery wrote on Instagram along with a photo of her chocolate brown strands.

Whoa, this is a huge change! Especially since Ramona and Avery take cues from each other's styles all the time. Remember their matching icy silver beauty and gown looks for the RHONY Season 10 premiere party?

Stylist Julius Michael showed some progress photos of Avery's transition to gorgeous brunette, which included taking off six inches of her hair. But what did Ramona think? First of all, she didn't know about it beforehand, and luckily for us, Julius taped her reaction.

"Two blondes @averysinger & @ramonasinger walked into @juliusmichaelsalon on this #sundayfunday one left blonde and the other didn’t!!! PLEASE SWIPE through to see how PISSED Momma Ramona was at us (mother daughter makeover day)," he wrote. 

In one video, Ramona screams when she sees Avery under the dryer with her new hair color. "You told me it would be a dark blonde," she says to Julius, who is filming. "You walked outside and me and Avery had our own conversation. She's going to be a brunette," he responds.

Ramona's smiling by the end, but she's still processing it all in the next video. Avery says, "So I decided to go brunette," and Ramona interrupts, saying: "Shocking!"

Avery continues: "She didn't really know, but thank you, Julius, I love it." Brunette looks great on you, Avery ... welcome to the dark side!
