The #RHOMelbourne 'Wives Wear Their Wedding Gowns Again

And they say you can only wear your wedding dress once. As The Real Housewives of Melbourne ladies gathered to celebrate Gamble Breaux's bridal shower, they found an excuse to dust off their old wedding gowns, dont those veils, and surprise the bride. Many of the dresses have stood the test of time and would make fabulous choices even today. Take a closer look at what the dresses looked like the first time around, in all of their lacy, vintage glory.

1. Chyka Keebaugh

Party hostess Chyka Keebaugh came up with the idea to recycle the old gowns and we can see why she'd want to wear this classic beauty again. Chyka's "princess dress" had off-the-shoulder lacy long sleeves that she paired with a veil piled high with fresh flowers when she married her husband Bruce Keebaugh 24 years ago.

2. Susie McLean

Susie McLean learned that beauty is pain with her sparkly wedding gown, stating, "Alex Perry made the dress and I think he forgot that we actually have a pancreas, a liver and internal organs in here," also sharing that she had bruising on her ribs from it.

3. Pettifleur Berenger

Pettifleur Berenger wasn't shy about the fact that her 17-year-old gown still fit perfectly. This time around she added a fur wrap and funky hair accessory to update the form-fitting lace dress.

4. Jackie Gillies

Jackie Gillies must have looked into the future to see that her ravishing Henry Roth dress would still be gorgeous today. Her dress has everything a classic wedding gown should: lace, bling, ruffles and frills.

5. Janet Roach

Unfortunately at the shower Janet Roach did not have a wedding dress to recycle since she admittedly threw one of hers in the trash. She sweetly shared that she made her first dress into a quilt that was combined with her children's christening gowns, but never thought she'd wear her second one again and tossed it.

6. Gamble Breaux

Bride-to-be Gamble had a similar story when it came to her old gown. She gave her simple original dress to Goodwill just a week before the party and showed up in a stunning new lace-covered dress with a long train.

7. Lydia Schiavello

Not one to be traditional, Lydia Schiavello walked down the aisle in a short and romantic handmade Dolce & Gabbana lace dress, complete with intricate floral embroidery. She even rewore the same embellished shoes and earrings to match.
