Story Heard 'Round the World
Michaele prepares DC fans for a season full of excitement and drama, and responds to Lynda's attacks.
Welcome to the first episode of Season 1 of The Real Housewives of DC! WOW! We are here! Housewives across the country, get ready for a season that will be full of excitement and drama.
Thank you for all of your love and support. This journey began for me 18 months ago and to be finally here is a huge high. This episode introduced you to who I am. Yes, I am a hugger, and I have a lot of love and trust that I initially extend to everyone who you see in this episode. I was surprised and hurt that Lynda attacked me for having an eating disorder. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and shines from within. I have never understood and never will, why anyone would take pleasure by tearing someone else down. My belief is to celebrate one another and empower women and support one another in life by seeing the good and beauty in each other.
My event the America's Polo Cup highlights the fashion, sports, entertainment and diplomacy of the United States that we share with other countries we challenge each year. You saw in this show the America's Polo Cup celebrating bi-lateral relationships between the USA and India. You even saw a Defense Department official welcome everyone. This is important. I do you hope that in one of the future episodes you will get to see the US military unit that proudly participated in the America's Polo Cup ceremonies. They were brilliant and awe-inspiring, as were all the speakers.
I also wanted to thank everyone for all the emails and phone calls I have received about the announcement of the book Cirque du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust! by Diane Dimond with our cooperation. This book will tell for the very first time the INSIDE STORY of who my husband and I are. It will include never before revealed details of what happened before, during, and after our visit to the White House, where we were falsely accused of crashing President Obama's first state dinner. This book is about more than what happens when the unsuspecting find themselves in the crosshairs of the national media. It reveals the truth about who my husband and I are, where we came from, what shaped our personalities, what obstacles we overcame, challenges we deal with and what motivates us to do what we do. It is quite simply the background of the story heard 'round the world and how we were able to survive the onslaught. What happened to us is much more than any television show can capture, much of which happened after filming had concluded. It is the true story of the Salahis. Available at Amazon.com for pre-orders while supplies last. I hope you will visit my website at www.MichaeleandTareqSalahi.com and let me know what you think of the show.
Love & Hugs,
MICHAELE
