Stephanie Hollman: We All Could Have Used a Shot of Tequila and A Hug That Night
"I absolutely hate seeing this kind of tension in the group, and that night was taken way too far."
Wasn’t that an exciting start to our trip?
I would like to start by pointing out an unspoken fact: Brandi and I always get stuck with the rooms no one wants. We were the only ones to share a room in Beaver Creek, we shared a room last year in Mexico, and this year we’re thrown into the hole! What the heck! #JusticeForStephanieAndBrandi I mean did you see those stairs? Please tell me how you wouldn’t fall down those sober, let alone after a few drinks? Next girl’s trip, we want the presidential suite for suffering in the hole!
Do I think Brandi is a drunk? Of course not. Do I think getting drunk to talk to LeeAnne was a good idea? Of course not! I told Brandi that if she wanted to have a conversation with LeeAnne about the alcoholic comment then she should have just found a time to sit her down and talk to her about it. Brandi’s master plan didn’t even pan out because LeeAnne had much bigger issues that night, and the only one that suffered from this passive-aggressive plan was me! I had to smell Brandi’s fish-infused barf the next morning. Our hole was not smelling good that day!
Cary was really excited about dinner that night, but let me throw some truth at you: Fancy restaurants are the worst! The portions are small, the bill is large, and the menu is full of things that I don't understand. Case in point: Thymus gland. What the heck even is that? The throat of some animal? Who wants to eat a throat? My theory is the more Michelin stars a restaurant has, the less I will like it. Taco Bell does not have a single Michelin star, and I love their entire menu! …and it is way more affordable! It’s the small things in life that make me happy!
Because everyone was so hungry after this very expensive meal that we just had, tensions were high and things got out of hand quick! I have to say, I am proud of LeeAnne for stepping away from the situation and going into her little hole to calm down. I absolutely hate seeing this kind of tension in the group, and that night was taken way too far. All I can say is that we all could have used a shot of tequila and a hug that night.
