Stephanie Hollman: I Am Tearing up All Over Again Writing This
"Seeing all three of my boys standing at the end of the aisle is an image that I will never forget."
Another week of fun in Dallas. Are you keeping up?
I was truly honored to be asked to go wedding dress shopping with LeeAnne. As D’Andra said, I have great style so why wouldn’t she ask me? Totally kidding (…kind of)! I really was honored that LeeAnne invited me, because this is such a special moment in the wedding planning process, so I was happy to be there to help her make the big decision. Ese Azenabor has some of the most stunning, hand embellished dresses. There truly wasn’t a wrong choice in that showroom.
While I loved that I was there for LeeAnne, I couldn’t help but think that D’Andra should have been there too. They have been friends for so many years, I hate that she is missing such a special moment. I get it, and I’ve been through it, but there are so many moments that I regret not sharing last year because of my fight with Brandi, and I hope these two can work it out before it’s too late.
I never thought that there would be a day more magical than my wedding day, but I also never thought that Travis could plan such a special day like this BY HIMSELF! I really have to brag about Travis for a second, because he truly planned this vow renewal totally and completely by himself. No wedding planner, no event team, just him and his wild imagination (which sometimes can be a scary thing). I did have Trey do some spying so that he didn’t go too off the wall, but he was a Lone Ranger on this mission. I was absolutely blown away that he was able to gather our families, close friends, and some of our original wedding party for this special occasion. I was in tears when he surprised me with my best friend and original maid of honor, Sarah. We do not get to see each other nearly enough as we now live in separate states, so when she walked around the corner, I was in total shock! On top of that (and this is something that you didn’t get to see), Travis surprised me by flying in the preacher that married us 10 years ago. I am tearing up all over again writing this. That was something that I really wanted when we were first talking, and it really meant a lot to me. The weeks leading up to the vow renewal, he told me that our pastor was booked and unable to come, and I was so disappointed! But I should have known. Travis likes to watch me squirm. Travis hired the royal chef that cooked for Princess Diana, had the most amazing flower arrangements delivered, set up the most gorgeous table- he really did think of everything.
No one is more surprised than me that I was able to fit into my wedding dress. Seeing all three of my boys standing at the end of the aisle is an image that I will never forget. I am so incredibly grateful for the wonderful father and role model that our two boys have to look up to. Travis is the most amazing, hands-on father, and I truly couldn’t ask for any more. It is my hope and prayer that they see the love that Travis and I share and don't settle for anything less when they are older. They have a pretty great dad teaching them to be wonderful little gentlemen,so I have no doubt in my mind that they will turn out to be just like their father.
Thank you, Travis, for making this special day possible, for this incredible life, the most amazing family and most importantly, thank you for loving me for who I am and never expecting me to be anyone other than the girl you fell in love with. I love you!
Off to Copenhagen, we go! Yes, Brandi, Cary, Kameron, and myself were the divas of the bunch because we upgraded ourselves… Here is the thing, I am not sitting upright on a plane for 12 HOURS! A girl needs her beauty sleep, and if that means I have to be in the front of the plane to get it then, by all means, move me to the front. Trust me, a grouchy Stephanie is not a fun Stephanie, so I did this for the sake of the group. Je Welkom bit--, that means “you’re welcome bit--” in Dutch!
Tune in next week for part one of our Copenhagen trip! Doesn’t it look like fun? I’ll go ahead and take that tequila shot and hug now, please!
