Kameron on SparkleDog: This Was Louis' and My Dream Since He Was Born
"It was beyond my wildest dreams, and I have big dreams — I get the Neiman's Christmas Book every year."
Bravotv.com: Tell us about planning for Sparkle Dog – what were you thinking when you found out the product was red?
Kameron Westcott: In life, you sometimes get red kibbles when you were expecting pink, but I’m a strong Texas woman and knew that I couldn’t give up. It was just another roadblock I had to will through.
Bravotv.com: How happy were you when you opened that box of pink sparkle dog?
KW: OMG, yes! This has been Louis' and my dream since he was born, and it felt so good to see that my dream was coming true. I am so proud of SparkleDogFood.com. Louis and I did so much research, and I’m so proud that we made an amazing healthy premium food for all my furry friends!!
Bravotv.com: What were you thinking going into this meeting with Brandi? Is Plano really that far?
KW: As you could see by my perfect parallel parking, in Dallas we always valet, so it was an adventure visiting her in Plano. But seriously, I love Plano. There is so much happening out there and so many cool new things. Louis’s doggy masseuse is even farther than Plano, so the drive wasn’t bad :-)
Bravotv.com: What were you thinking when Brandi said you had a “stick up your ass” right away? How do you think this sit-down went? Are you friends now?
KW: I’m getting a little concerned about Brandi's obsession with sticking objects in inappropriate places. I like Brandi — we’re just very different. She sees me as uptight, I see her as a bit too loose…but I’m optimistic, and I hope we can find common ground moving forward.
Tell us about the big launch — how do you think it went?
KW: It was beyond my wildest dreams, and I have big dreams — I get the Neiman's Christmas Book every year. It is so fulfilling to work out hard and dream big and see your dreams come true. Haters always tell you that your idea is bad or it can't be done, but you always have to follow your heart regardless.
What did you think of Mark and LeeAnne's exchange at the party?
KW: I’m happy Lee Anne and Mark personally talked face to face. When there’s conflict, one should always go directly to the source! I don’t think LeeAnne and Mark are ever going to be buddies, but I am glad they started a dialogue!
What do you think of Cary and Brandi's one on one at the party and Brandi's apology?
KW: I’m happy Brandi and Cary spoke and kept it PG at the SparkleDog Food launch party! I don’t think Cary will ever forget what Brandi has said, though. She may have told Brandi she forgives her, but I doubt she will ever forget! A “sorry” unfortunately (in my mind) can’t clean up what was put on the table. People need to stay out of other people’s personal business and focus on their own issues!
