Mauricio Umansky Shows Off His Body Transformation with Shirtless Gym Selfies
Plus, Kyle Richards marks an important anniversary in her sobriety journey.
Mauricio Umansky is showing off the fruits of his labor.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband returned to Instagram on Friday, July 14, to provide a quick update on his years-long fitness journey. The Agency founder/CEO highlighted his body transformation with a few before-and-after photos, the first of which were two shirtless selfies recently taken inside his home gym, while the third snap showed a younger Mauricio soaking up the sun with a glass of champagne before embarking on his health journey.
Mauricio says the skin-baring photos will keep him motivated
“I was planning on posting this for my Birthday but I was in Aspen and there has been a lot of noise,” he captioned the carousel. “[Six] years ago I was fat and out of shape[,] the plan is to get better every year. I need to post this to keep me going and every guy know[s] you don’t post unless you just worked out and are all pumped up lol.”
The post garnered tens of thousands of likes and thousands of comments, including one from his wife, Kyle Richards, and an amusing one from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent Josh Altman: “[Two] of my clients just cancelled on me and said they’re hiring Mauricio,” he quipped.
Mauricio clearly got the joke, as he responded with a few crying-laughing emojis.
Mauricio and Kyle share a passion for health and fitness
Mauricio’s fitness journey has been well documented on Instagram. Over the past several years, the father of three has shared numerous photos of himself and Kyle working out together in their home gym.
However, the couple’s exercise sessions aren’t confined to their home. In 2020, Kyle posted multiple Instagrams that captured her and Mauricio out on a bike ride in Aspen, Colorado, and a few others that showed them breaking a sweat at Rumble Boxing: “The couple that works out together…” she captioned the latter post.
Kyle reflects on her own health journey
A day after Mauricio’s fitness update, Kyle took some time to reflect on her own health journey. The RHOBH OG celebrated her first full year of sobriety and explained how giving up alcohol has improved her life.
“A number of things made me come to the conclusion that I didn’t want to drink,” she wrote. “First and foremost, I didn’t feel it had a place where I personally wanted to be. I listened to my heart and the message was clear to me. I knew it was no longer serving me (no pun intended) physically, mentally or spiritually.”
Kyle said her decision to give up alcohol was “met with resistance by some” individuals, but she refused “to fall prey to peer pressure.” She also revealed there was no timeframe for when, if ever, she would start drinking again.
“All I know is I have never felt better physically or been more clear mentally,” Kyle continued. “Mainly people are supportive even if they didn’t quite understand since I don’t have a ‘problem’ with alcohol. Although trust me plenty of times it didn’t feel like that. Alcohol made me feel depressed the next day no matter how fun the night before was. And honestly, life is going to throw us some difficult days. I certainly don’t need to be adding any extra ones to that list.”
