Lisa Rinna Explains Her Recent Hairstyle That “Flipped Everybody Out”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said she was surprised by the strong reactions to a recent bowl cut hairdo.
Lisa Rinna consistently blesses fans with iconic hair moments, but few have been as polarizing as the bowl cut she donned at Paris Fashion Week.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum immediately went viral last month after she debuted the bold look at the Vivienne Westwood runway show. Not only was it the subject of countless headlines, but the retro-inspired bulbous wig also created quite the stir on social media — so much so that even Lisa was surprised by the strong reactions.
“The pageboy wig that flipped everybody out! They didn’t know what to do with that,” she said on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “I would’ve never guessed that little pageboy wig would’ve created such a stir.”
Lisa Rinna Explains Her Bowl-Cut Hairstyle
Lisa told the podcast that the bowl-cut wig was a last-minute decision encouraged by her glam team and stylist Danyul Brown. She recalled getting into her outfit — a belted floral jacket, shimmery pants, and sky-high platform boots — and showing it off to her entourage. It was then that Lisa’s team suggested she wear the wig.
“It was in the background and I… showed them the outfit and they were like, ‘Would you ever wear that wig?’” she said. “And I looked at it and I went, ‘Oh yeah, I like that.’ And he put it on and I went, ‘Oh my god, it looks really good with the outfit.’”
When she’s not sporting her signature choppy bob, Lisa enjoys delivering show-stopping looks. The Bravolebrity has tried everything from faux-hawks and voluminous ponytails to twisted topknots and sleek pixie cuts. She told Virtual Reali-Tea she clearly isn’t afraid to take style risks when it comes to clothes and hairdos; this is especially the case when she attends the major fashion weeks.
“I’ve had such a ball doing that kind of stuff,” she said.
