Kyle Richards Is “Horrified” by These Flashbacks from Early RHOBH Seasons

Kyle Richards has proved season after season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that her fashion sense just keeps getting better. (Watch the video above for proof of that.) However, a few of her earlier ensembles make her cringe today. In a recent interview with Vogue, Kyle reflected on all things style — including the past looks she’d rather keep, well, in the past. 

“Sometimes, when there are flashbacks [on RHOBH] to the first season, I’m horrified by what I’m wearing,” she told Vogue. And yet, it’s not all bad memories. “There are some items that I’ll always love, like good jeans, sneakers, sweaters from The Elder Statesman, and kaftans,” she added. “Although I adore handbags, power-shoulder dresses, and jewelry, my style is actually extremely casual.”

Despite other people’s opinions, Kyle does stay true to what she likes. “People make fun of my kaftans, but I think they’re really chic and remind me of yacht holiday photos by Slim Aarons,” she explained. Reflecting on her castmates’ sense of style, she said, “I can appreciate how everyone dresses and it suits them well, but I would never wear any of it.”

Speaking of her love for handbags, Kyle also opened up about how she’s rebuilding her luxury collection after her Encino home was burglarized in 2017. “They took everything — all of my bags, as well as bags and jewelry that my mum left me,” she recalled. As for replenishing the stash of Kellys and Birkins, “Let’s just say I’m doing very well,” she admitted. “I try to get four of everything for each of my daughters.”
