Brandi: I Felt Like a Grown Up

Brandi explains why it was the right time to treat herself to a new car.

By Brandi Glanville

Sorry my blog is so late, viewers. I’ve been in NYC all week, and I just flew back to L.A. I had a great time on WWHL.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

After Show: Brandi Lashes Out at Kyle

We open with Kyle visiting Kim house to see her daughter Brooke’s wedding dress. Brooke’s dress is beautiful, and it’s sweet she’s moved her wedding up so her father Monty can give her away. Kim really seems to be handling everything on her plate really well. I cant imagine how overwhelming the wedding on top of Monty’s health issues can be. Family is everything.

Lisa V. got a star on a street in Palm Springs for her work with the LGBT community, which I applaud and am happy for her.

Then we move on to see Lisa V. and Ken shopping for Giggy. They look happy, and I think they are ready for a grandbaby at this point.

Then off to Eileen’s home with such a beautiful backyard and all the children swimming, grilling hotdogs, and cute puppies in the pool. We meet Eileen's husband Vince Van Patten. Eileen and Vince enjoy cute banter, which reminds me a little bit of Adrienne and Paul in the good old days. I hadn’t yet met Eileen at this point, but I have to admit I’ve been a fan of Days of Our Lives all throughout high school and watching her get her Emmy felt personal, because I use to watch Days religiously.

Kyle and her family are on vacation in Spain. Her family looks really happy, and they seemed to have a lot of fun, but then who wouldn’t on a fabulous yacht in the Mediterranean? Yolanda joins the family, and it was funny to watch her on her "bagel." We hear Yolanda discussing the importance of family and her taking care of her ill mother, which is sad but touching at the same time. Sadly, we also see Yolanda suffer a family scare. I felt really bad for her but am really proud of how she and her family handled the situation. When all is said and done, Bella is a teenager who made a mistake. Thankfully no one was hurt, and I am sure it’s a huge lesson learned. I felt so bad that Yo was so far away when she wanted to be home. Being a mother can be hard, especially when we are away from our babies. You feel helpless.

I got a very unexpected check from my first book, Drinking and Tweeting. While doing all these different jobs, I decided to hire professionals to help me invest my money wisely, brecause all I ever really knew about money was some went into my checking account and some went into my savings account. I took a meeting with them to inquire whether I could afford to lease a new car and was very excited to be able to get a lease without my dad co-signing. Woohoo I felt like a grown up!

I had a meeting with the owner of my PodCastOne show, my boss and everybody else's as well, Norm Pattiz. He is very cool and has a lot of faith in me, which is wonderful and supportive. I really love doing the show and hope to do Brandi Glanville Unfiltered (or Filtered--whichever he wants) for a long long, long time to come. Thank you, Norm.

I’ll be posting a holiday card from one of my favorite charities, the Make-A-Wish foundation on my Facebook and Twitter. Please consider buying and sending their really cute cards and supporting the foundation.

Thank you!
