The Beverly Hillbillies
Dana address the amount of "slut" talk and why she wishes she had been there to defend Taylor.
All this talk about sluts and swearing has made me feel like a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillbillies instead of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. LOL. Look you guys: nobody should want to be a slut, dress like a slut, or call themselves one. I want you all to have self-esteem! To me, dressing like a slut means that you dress to show off your physical assets because you think you don’t have anything else to offer. Why would you limit yourself like that? Men should be here to entertain you, not the other way around! Brandi you are not a slut so stop saying it!
I couldn't help but think to myself as I watched this episode that there are so many of us that just want to be friends like Taylor and Lisa or me and Kyle (in the beginning), but for some reason there were all these walls up. This got me wondering why is trust such a big issue in this group? Is it possible that because our friendships are developing publicly and that all the girls have so much influence that people are scared to let their guard down? I think the answer is yes. I also think everyone is so busy in their lives that when we aren’t forced into hanging out none of us would bother. Thank god for group events! It is true the older you get the harder it is to develop relationships so making friends for most of us takes effort. I really think these ladies are all cool in their own way but it is sooooo hard to get hang time. For the record, the girls are worth it (yes, even Brandi if she would just stop pissing me off for more than 5 minutes at a time).
On another note, I just want to say the story about Kyle and her Christmas party was true. I was at the party, and after Kyle invited Brandi and she said she couldn’t come, Brandi accidentally wrote a text to Kyle saying "Kyle is such a C-U-Next-Tuesday (female private part)." Kyle told me she was actually really hurt and frustrated, since she had tried to make things right with them. As far as I was concerned, I don’t know what I was more floored by -- how messed up that was or how stupid it was to text something nasty to Kyle about Kyle. Duh.
The reunion was hard for me to watch because I wish I had been there to stop Brandi from criticizing Taylor. She’s been through enough. Taylor's book, whether you like her personally or not, will save lives. So rather than argue about whether she should have written it or how long she should have waited to do so, why doesn’t everyone just read it and see if it can help someone you know?
I have my own views on Game Night but you will have to wait for part three to hear them. Have an awesome week. Please comment good or bad below.
