Chrissy Teigen "Wants to Do Everything the Real Housewives Did" in China (Except Make Erika Girardi Cry)
Teigen plans to re-create the Beverly Hills' ladies Hong Hong visit almost exactly — and Erika has thoughts!
Pregnant cookbook author and social media clapback queen Chrissy Teigen is a well-known Bravo superfan — and her love for Bravo shows has been known to inspire her life as a professional jet-setter. For instance, Below Deck may not be a scientifically proven cure for jet lag, but it works for Teigen. And on the day of her unfortunate flight to nowhere with John Legend in December, she tweeted that she watched The Real Housewives to keep her sane during the ordeal. (“I have been moved to a room with Bravo. Clearly the authorities are trying to keep me quiet so I don’t BLOW THE LID OFF THIS ‘SITCH,’” she tweeted at the time.)
And now, she plans to let the 'Wives inspire her again, on her latest trip abroad: Teigen landed in China yesterday, and she noted she has plans to follow in the footsteps of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when it comes to her itinerary.
“I want to do everything the Real Housewives did, except make Erika sad,” she tweeted, a reference to the ladies’ trip to Hong Kong — which included a junk-boat ride that resulted in Erika Girardi crying.
For her part, Erika was all about it, tweeting back, “Enjoy!”
And the pair exchanged some stronger language too:
During their trip, the Beverly Hills 'Wives stayed at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong. They also visited Hong Kong’s highest peak for incredible city views.
Teigen also tweeted a nod to the fatigue that comes with such far-flung travel, especially for parents: “Hi China!! One more flight! Oh man how do people do this with two babies or more. True heroes.”
Fortunately for Teigen, good humor goes a long way to keeping travel fun and sane — even in the most intense circumstances.
