Here's what happened when we asked Katie to "supersize" a classic Housewife style, in Katie's own words. Spoiler alert: the results are incredibly chic.
I love how Kyle Richards owns her style. Whether she’s dressed up or down, she always looks put together, chic, and at ease. I’m not about sacrificing comfort for style, so when picking a Real Housewife to Supersize, I knew I would be team Kyle all the way.
This jeans and blazer off-duty ensemble speaks to me because it’s polished and fresh and on a personal note, it hits an equestrian prep vibe that I’m forever into. I once owned the same pair of Ralph Lauren riding pants in 6 different colors, so you could say I take my equestrian dressing pretty seriously even though I’ve never been on a horse. To each their own, right?
Kyle’s outfit is actually a great formula that any lady, regardless of size or shape (or level of horse obsession), can steal: start with skinny jeans, pair with knee boots (this pair is perfect for wider calves), add a blouse& and blazer that you probably already own and finish with a waist-defining belt, sunglasses, and a chic bag. And, you're set!
I love how versatile this look is—you could easily switch it up with black denim or a boyfriend blazer or even over-the-knee boots. It’s a great excuse to shop your own closet! And let’s be real, when you’re trying to get out of the house quickly and resist the desire to only ever wear spandex (I told you I’m big on comfort) it helps to have a go-to formula on hand. Kyle’s look nails that effortless but chic casual vibe that we are all trying to achieve, so I hope you get to copying!
