Kenya Moore Shares a Luxurious Update on Her Hair Spa (VIDEO)
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member offered a look at some gorgeous finishings that might go into her salon.
Kenya Moore Haircare has its own marching band, and rightfully so. As Shereé Whitfield points out in the clip above, no one knows gorgeous hair better than Kenya. Retailers tend to agree. Kenya Moore's eponymous label has been sold at big-box chains ranging from Sally Beauty to Ulta Beauty, Walgreens, and CVS. But if you thought you'd seen it all for Kenya's hair empire, think again.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mogul is in the process of opening a luxurious salon where customers can get the full-on Kenya Moore Hair Care experience. On Season 15 Episode 6 of RHOA, viewers saw the entrepreneur pay a visit to the Kenya Moore Hair Spa, which was still under construction.
"I want my guests at the Kenya Moore Hair Spa to experience total luxury, from the hair care products to the atmosphere," the CEO said. "This is going to be my legacy for [my daughter] Brooklyn."
As Kenya explained during the episode, she plans for the salon to include valet parking, a gleaming white bar below a "beautiful light installation," and six hair stations. "When you walk into this space, one should feel like they've entered a grand spa," Kenya detailed. "Maybe heaven." Well, it looks like that heaven might be clad in marble.
Kenya Moore teases new finishes for the Kenya Moore Hair Spa
In a September 26 Instagram post, Kenya shared a video of a giant slab of marble. "I don't know if you guys can see this, but I really love this marble," she said. "If you can see, it has purple, lavender, lilac colors — it's hard to see from here. What do you guys think? I might do this as my countertops, I'm not sure yet,"
In her caption, Kenya hinted that she'd been referring to the countertops in her spa. "Hard to see from the video but this marble has lilac. The salon colors are my brand colors: [purple] lavender, white, pink," she wrote. "I was going to apply this to my fireplace but what do [you] think?"
Marble would certainly match the vision Kenya has for her salon. When chatting with BravoTV.com, the salon founder said: “[Kenya Moore Hair Spa] is a luxury hair salon in Atlanta. You will be treated like you’ve never been treated getting your hair done. It’s a relaxing environment designed to just pamper you all day long.”
On the Season 15 finale of RHOA, the end of the episode revealed, “The Kenya Moore Hair Spa recently celebrated a soft opening." A quick clip shared a look inside the event, which included swanky cocktails and elegant floral installations. “I saw the sketch, but I didn’t know it was going to look like this,” Kenya said as she walked in. “Wow!”
The salon is slated to open sometime this fall.
