Sheree: Kenya Owes Me a Blowout
Sheree Whitfield weighs in on Kenya Moore's event and squashing their issues.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Kenya's event?
Sheree Whitfield: When I was invited to Kenya's event, my initial thoughts were, "Oh hell to the no! This chick is uncouth and has zero class." Nevertheless, I decided to be a bigger person by showing up and supporting her. I’m all about supporting women and their business endeavors, because so many women choose to do the opposite. For some reason women aren't as supportive towards other women. I for one know how much time, dedication, and hard work it can take to get a business off the ground, so I salute anyone who is moving forward with their dreams! Kenya has beautiful hair, so this is something I believe she will be really successful at and I wish her all the best! So, aside from the event being a HOT mess (literally) and my natural edges going from slick to kinky in less than 60 seconds, it was a nice hair care event (less the hair care products). She totally owes me a blowout… How do you go to a hair care event and leave with your hair looking worse than when you arrived?
Bravotv.com: Did you feel that you and Kenya squashed your issues?
SW: I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but when someone shows me their hand, I definitely take note and proceed with caution. We agreed to disagree on our issues. I am woman enough to forgive and move forward, yet not crazy enough to forget. I'll be sleeping with one eye open around this one! We’ll see how it goes.
Bravotv.com: What were your first impressions of Kim Fields?
SW: I’ve always enjoyed her work. I grew up watching Tootie from the The Facts of Life! I mean, who didn't? So I was a bit excited to meet her. She is an icon. We didn’t have much interaction, but she seems to be nice and really quiet. I’m looking forward to getting to know the real lady behind the screen...Kim Fields.
Until next time...
