OMG! RHOA’s Porsha Williams Shaved Her Head — See Her Buzz Cut (UPDATED)
"Bald is beautiful."
UPDATE (Oct. 13, 2017, 3:21 p.m.): It looks like Porsha may have a few pre-Halloween tricks up her sleeve this season. According to the RHOA pal's haistylist Kellon Deryck, Porsha in fact did not cut off her hair. In a recent interview with BET, Deryck shared that her bald look was all an illusion. "Surprise! Porsha did not cut her hair off! This is a part of the process to install her fabulous wigs!" he said. In the image, Porsha is actually wearing a stocking cap that matches her skin tone.
"This technique is part of my #flawlessillusion technique to make wigs look like they are growing from the scalp," he said. "Her hair is braided underneath the cap that is customized to replicate a natural scalp! It's the best way to make your hair unit completely undetectable." Instead of making the big chop, Porsha was simply in the process of getting a wig installed for her upcoming play Two Can Play At That Game.
You really had us going there for a second, Porsha! Well, at least now we know just how fierce the Real Housewife would actually look with a buzz cut.
The original story continues below.
We’ve seen plenty of Real Housewives make some major hair changes lately, including The Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra Judge and Penny Sulahian, but Porsha Williams' latest hair transformation may be the most dramatic change we've seen yet.
Thursday evening, The Real Housewives of Atlanta member debuted a new 'do on Instagram, shocking us all. Porsha has shaved of all her hair, and is now rocking a buzz cut.
According to Porsha's post, her new look created by hairstlist Kellon Deryck, was inspired by actress Sanaa Lathan who also recently got a buzz cut (Kate Hudson is rocking the chop as well). While Porsha has rocked a super short 'do in the past, this is definitely a first for the radio host. And judging by her posts, she's super happy with the outcome. "And she lived happily ever after. THE END," she wrote on Instagram.
The big reveal also comes two days before the Two Can Play At That Game: The Stage Play tour kicks off, where Porsha will be playing the roll of Conny.
It looks like Porsha wanted to kick this show off with a bang, and this is definitely one way to do it.
