A Million Small Steps

I was so excited for you all to finally learn a little more about my foundation! For the past three years, I have dedicated my life to enriching, empowering, and encouraging teenage girls so that they are able to make smart decisions for their future. I am a perfect example of how God's unconditional love, grace and mercy can turn your life around. I am so transparent with my girls because I need them to know that no matter what mistakes they have made, what labels they are given, or what situation they find themselves in, they are beautiful, loved, and entitled to have life more abundantly.

The girls you see on the show are my DSF Angels. This is one of my signature programs and is run by the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA in Southwest Atlanta. We have an incredible group of girls and the staff at the YMCA is amazing!

I decided to host a benefit gala to raise funds for DSF. Now to give you a little background, I am the type of person that always reaches for the stars. I am always stretching myself and I feel that nothing is impossible. I do this with everything I do. My husband, on the other hand, is more practical. We balance each other out and he is always there to catch me if I fall! And the times that I do fall, I just get right back up and do it again. The only failure is not trying. I admit I can be a little extreme, but that's me!

So I announce that I want to try to raise a million dollars! Why not? I wanted to speak it into the atmosphere! The other housewives feel that this is impossible. Whether or not I meet my goal is irrelevant to me. I am blessed to be a blessing. I know that as long as I continue to put others first and do what is right, I will continue to be blessed.
