Last Man Standing
Brad talks about Taylor's absence, the new hire, and dressing the beautiful Demi Moore!
Hi Everyone!
We are back... bringing you season three! Very exciting.
Taylor being fired came as a complete shock to me. One day she was there and the next day, she was not. It was obviously upsetting to me because Taylor and I had become such a good team working together. To have your partner just taken away from you with no notice is quite jarring. It was tough at first getting used to her her absence. As you could all see from the past two seasons, she was a very vocal and present force in Rachel's company. The world doesn't stop though and the work kept coming in, so we just continued working away.
We needed to hire someone, but Taylor's shoes were going to be hard to fill since she had been with Rachel for so long and everybody was familiar with her. I knew though that once awards season started we would need an extra set of hands. Jordan, who has been with Rachel as an full time employee for over a year now, was so amazing through this process and transition. We couldn't have done it without her. She really began to step out of the wings and on to center stage, so to speak. It's been really great watching her grow! After interviewing quite a few people, Ashley was definitely the most qualified candidate and we felt really certain that she was the girl for the job. I had heard amazing things about her through the grapevine, as had Rachel, so she was hired. I don't wanna give away too much... she is great!
Our first major job without Taylor was the Harper's Bazaar cover shoot with Demi Moore. I absolutely love working with Demi. She is so elegant, graceful and beautiful. She is SO much fun to dress! We've had many great moments this year with her, but this shoot is definitely the highlight. Giraffes, mice, oversized chairs, kiddie pools...AMAZING!
Things were off to a good start and I am interested to see what you think of the new hire, Ashley. You get to see more of her next week when madness ensues around the Golden Globes.
