Johnny Depp “Insulted” at Rumors He Only Spent $30,000 of his $650 Million Fortune on Wine
"Because it was far more," Johnny Depp said in his explosive Rolling Stone interview.
Johnny Depp's former business associates countersued him in January for damages of at least $25 million for accusing them of defrauding him and mismanaging his money. The countersuit included examples of the actor's lavish lifestyle, including $3 million to blast Hunter S. Thompson's ashes into the sky, $7,000 for a couch from the set of Keeping Up With the Kardashians (for daughter Lily-Rose Depp) and $30,000 per month spent on wine from around the world.
To those claims about $30,000 a month on wine? Well, Depp told Rolling Stone, that's just ridiculous and "insulting." Because, revealed the actor emblazoned with a tattoo that reads "Wino Forever," the figure was actually "far more."
He also said that other figures about his expenditures were way off: "By the way, it was not $3 million to shoot Hunter into the f---ing sky. It was $5 million."
According to Wine Spectator, Depp's favorite wines are Bordeaux, especially Calon-Ségur, Pétrus, Cheval-Blanc and Burgundy wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
