An Entire Bachelorette Party Came Dressed in Costume as Ina Garten (Who Wishes She'd Been Invited)

We've seen the raunchier side of bachelorette parties over here at The Feast, so how about something a little more wholesome? One bride-to-be recently celebrated her upcoming wedding with an Ina Garten-themed party — and you're not the only one wishing you'd scored an invite. 

Here's the deal: A New York woman named Nicole Garvey is so enamored of the "Barefoot Contessa" that her friends decided to base the whole Hamptons bachelorette party on the chef who brought us engagement chicken. Everyone arrived at the bash dressed as either the chef herself — in blue button-downs, black capris, wigs, and (naturally) bare feet — or as Garten's beloved husband, Jeffrey. 

It made for quite the group portrait: 

Things got even more interesting when another Garten super-fan, Jennifer Garner, caught wind of the bash and shared her approval. On Instagram, the Oscar nominee reportedly wrote: "The best thing I’ve ever seen. How was I not invited?!!" And guess who caught wind of that?

Garten herself responded to Garner's post: "LOL!!! How is it that I wasn’t invited too @jennifer.garner??!!!" Alas, Garvey's friends said they had reached out to the chef, but it sounds like the invite got buried somehow. No matter: Garten still showed the gang some love when she regrammed the group portrait herself, writing: "Had to share this hilarious bachelorette party in Sag Harbor over the weekend!! Where was my invitation? I would have fit right in!"

She would have liked the food, too. The menu at the bachelorette bash included some of Garten's classic dishes, such as skillet-roasted lemon chicken, portobello mushroom lasagna, and strawberry rhubarb crisp. And, behold! It looks like there wasn't a junk-shaped cake in sight.
