Ina Garten Says You've Been Cutting Cauliflower All Wrong — Here's How to Do it Right
Ina Garten shares how to cut cauliflower the right way for, "perfect florets — no mess!"
Now that cauliflower comes in pizza crust and is basically the new rice, it's important to treat the vegetable with the utmost respect. And if you think that means cutting it from the top, well, Ina Garten has something to tell you.
On September 26, the so-called Barefoot Contessa took to Instagram to share her veggie-centric PSA. "If you’ve been cutting cauliflower through the top and getting little bits all over your kitchen, I have a better way to do it," she wrote in her caption. Well, consider us intrigued...
In a video, Garten went on to demonstrate the proper way to cut into cauliflower. Step one: Turn the cauliflower on its head.
Step two: Cut out its core. Then, cut into the stem to pull the florets apart.
Aha! So that's how you pull if off.
But, the best part of this video might be Garten's cute, unintentional (we think) rhyme: "Perfect florets, no mess." Really, is that not the cauliflower dream?
