CNN Streaming Scrubs Asia Argento From Anthony Bourdain's Show Parts Unknown
CNN's decision comes amid controversy surrounding Asia Argento months after Anthony Bourdain's death.
Amid allegations that Asia Argento had a sexual relationship with then-underage actor Jimmy Bennett, and her claim that her boyfriend Anthony Bourdain paid off her accuser before his death by suicide on June 8, CNN is erasing her from its show Parts Unknown.
The now-embattled Argento appeared in two episodes of her boyfriend's beloved show that focused on Italy. Argento also directed another episode in Hong Kong. The pair shared cozy photos during the filming; in the Hong Kong episode in Season 11, Bourdain had shouted out their relationship. He said, "To fall in love with Asia is one thing. To fall in love in Asia is another. Both have happened to me."
None of these three episodes are available now through CNN's streaming service, CNN Go, and a spokesperson confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the network had removed them due to the allegations about Argento.
