Ashley Darby Reveals Why Gizelle Bryant Is the Best RHOP Wing Woman

The seventh season of The Real Housewives of Potomac featured it all — from Ashley Darby’s divorce, to Robyn Dixon’s secret wedding plans, to Candiace Dillard Bassett’s collaboration with Trina, to Dr. Wendy Osefo’s plan to launch a restaurant with Peter Thomas, to both Gizelle Bryant and Mia Thornton’s respective health woes, to Karen Huger’s long-standing beef with Charrisse Jackson-Jordan — and the jaw-dropping season will officially wrap up with a reunion special kicking off on Sunday, February 5. 

In a preview of Part 1 of the reunion, which you can watch above, things get personal fast for one of the cast members. 

Host Andy Cohen asks Ashley, who is set to finalize her split from Michael Darby in either the late winter or early spring of 2023, which of her fellow castmates would be the “best wing woman.” And the mom of two, who dated Winter House’s Luke Gulbranson for a few months at the end of 2022, picks Gizelle. 

“Without a doubt,” Ashley says, before explaining why. “Well, I’ll tell her that I think someone is cute, and she will help me develop a plan to get noticed by that person.”

She teases that Gizelle’s plans have worked “a couple of times,” though she doesn’t mention any examples. 

“I know what I’m doing,” Gizelle says.

Elsewhere in the reunion teaser, Andy polls the group to find out who “gets the most turned up” on nights out when the cameras are no longer rolling. 

Ashley is the first to say Karen, and Candiace vehemently agrees by saying, “That’s the answer.”
