Yolanda Hadid Says "Life Isn’t Perfect ... No Matter What It Looks Like on Social Media"
The Beverly Hills alum credits her time on the show for helping to spread the word about Lyme disease.
During Yolanda Hadid's time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the former model lived her life as an open book. She allowed fans into her marriage to then-husband David Foster and as well as some of their marital strife, her life as a mom to three (now supermodel) kids, as well as her ongoing struggles with Lyme disease. It's that last aspect of her life — and allowing cameras in on the painful battle — that she recently reflected on in a heartfelt Instagram post (she also discusses her Lyme disease, above).
"Life is a journey filled with problems to solve and lessons to learn but most of all experiences to share which I believe to be the higher purpose of this exchange... Thank you [RHOBH, Bravo, and production company Evolution Media] for igniting this amazing platform for me to bring awareness to chronic Lyme disease and to speak of the things I’m passionate about," she wrote. "I’ve shared about the good and the bad days in my life because that always felt honest & authentic to me. Life isn’t perfect for anyone no matter what it looks like on social media. Thanks to all three million of you for engaging and sharing your thoughts in the good and the bad times."
Yolanda announced her departure from RHOBH in June 2016 after four seasons on the show.
She recently reflected on her time with the 90210 crew on an episode of The Daily Dish podcast back in June. "I don't think I was very good at being on the show," she confessed. "I just never felt I was good. I always felt I was struggling or trying to get my point across. But I did it to the best of my ability and I gave it my everything to stay on the show and try to work through it and do what I said I was going to do ... But I don't think I was great at it."
