Andy Cohen Shares an Update on His Love Life (and It Involves John Mayer)
The WWHL host also revealed his reaction to his BFF Anderson Cooper welcoming his second child.
John Mayer was recently by Andy Cohen's side when the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And, Andy recently hosted one of the singer/songwriter's recent concerts, so, clearly, these guys are always there for one another. And you can bet when Andy needs some romantic advice, John answers the call.
"I’ve asked him for dating advice. I asked him a few months ago, there was this situation I was in. And I said ‘what do you think about this,’ and he just set my head straight!" Andy shared in an interview with Access Hollywood this week. Though, he noted, "he doesn't really ask me for dating advice."
So, what is Andy looking for in a potential partner? Well, he shared all. “I think we're both [John and myself] kind of ready to settle down, in a weird way. I'm just looking for a great guy. I mean, I'm fairly settled, I have a son," he shared in a separate interview with Extra. "Good, responsible man.”
Andy even revealed if he plans on extending his family. He's, of course, a dad to 3-year-old Ben, and opened up about if he'd like to have more kids at some point. He said when speaking to Extra, “That would be great. I mean, we'll see.”
Speaking of babies, Andy's extended family just got a little bigger. His BFF, Anderson Cooper, shared this week that he welcomed his second child, a son named Sebastian. "Last night I announced the birth of my second son, Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper. Thank you so much for all the kind messages!" Anderson posted on Instagram on Thursday (February 10). Anderson, who is already a dad to Wyatt, also shared a photo of himself "cuddling with Sebastian the day after he was born."
How does Andy feel about it? Well, as you can imagine he's pretty happy for his friend. Shortly after Anderson posted the news to Instagram, Andy commented with five heart emojis.
