Kate Chastain Reveals Why She Won't Be Attending Aesha Scott's Wedding to Scott Dobson
Below Deck Med chief stew Aesha Scott teased which yachties she'll be invited to her wedding to Scott Dobson.
Wedding bells are ringing for Aesha Scott, as the Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew confirmed her engagement to Scott "Scotty" Dobson in May 2024.
Now, the New Zealand native is planning her big day, which is currently scheduled for December 2025. In addition to settling on a wedding date, Aesha is also thinking about her guest list.
While appearing on the July 29 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Aesha revealed which Below Deck yachties will be securing invites. Plus, during a recent exclusive chat with The Daily Dish, Below Deck alum and current Below Deck Med After Show commentator Kate Chastain shared why she doesn't think she'll be going to Aesha's wedding.
Aesha first teased that she will be inviting many cast members from the Below Deck universe to her nuptials.
"Oh gosh, there's too many to name," she said on WWHL before sharing that several cast members from Season 9 will definitely be on the guest list. "Captain Sandy [Yawn], definitely... Joe [Bradley], Nathan [Gallagher], there's too many to name."
She also joked that there is one alum who will not be there to see her say "I do."
"Who would definitely not be coming? Probably Mila [Kolomeitseva]," she said about the chef, who was fired on Below Deck Med Season 4. "I'll get her to do the catering."
Why Kate Chastain won't be attending Aesha Scott's wedding to Scott Dobson
Though Aesha has formed a strong friendship with former Below Deck chief stew Kate Chastain (the two are even sitting side-by-side on the Below Deck Med After Show), Kate likely won't be going to Aesha's wedding.
"I do not think I'll be making it to Aesha's wedding," Kate shared when she spoke with The Daily Dish on July 25. "I'm sure it'll be in New Zealand, and that's just a bit of a far trip."
Though Kate, who is a mom to one-year-old Sullivan Cay, likely won't be taking the long journey to New Zealand, she knows that Aesha will have an amazing day.
"I'm sure she'll be the most stunning bride, and I have a feeling it'll probably be super down-to-earth and organic and beautiful, just like Aesha is. [Scotty and Aesha] love nature and the outdoors."
In addition to bonding during the Below Deck Med After Show, Aesha and Kate also spent time together at Captain Sandy's wedding to Leah Shafer in May 2024.
"The proposal story was so sweet," Kate added. "[Aesha] told me when we were at Captain Sandy's wedding and I'm just really happy for her."
