Laura Linney Signed Up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for One Very Adorable Reason
The Oscar nominated actress chats about how motherhood has affected her career on #WWHL.
When you think of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, Laura Linney may not be the first person who comes to mind. The Oscar-nominated actress is probably best known for her more dramatic movie roles, and, of course, her work in the classic holiday flick, Love Actually. She doesn't often hang with pizza-loving turtles who also happen to be skilled ninjas. But come June 3 that's just what she'll be doing when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows hits theaters. And, there's an important reason why she wanted to make that movie: her two-year-old son, Bennett.
"I just thought why not? It was fun," she said on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday. "I have a young son and it’s the only thing he’ll be able to see before the age of thirty without being traumatized. So, it was really fun."
Oh, yeah, there was also all that pizza. "I just thought why not and I had a ball. They sent me a pizza, and I was in," she said. "With the script came a pizza."
