Who's Who in Scheana and Shay's Bridal Party?
Wondering who all those good looking people at Scheana's wedding were? The bride and groom tell us about their bridal party.
Scheana and Shay give us the details on how they decided who they wanted next to them on their big day!
From left to right, Shay describes each of his groomsmen and how they've made an impact on his life:
Tom Sandoval and I have been friends for 5 years now, he was my first friend in L.A., and we clicked instantly. Tom and I have always had a good friendship despite all the craziness we have been through the past few years. When it comes to Tom, I can honestly say he’ll always be there for me, and I can always rely on him. I’m truly grateful for his friendship and everything he has done for me.
Josh Pippin is my closest and most favorite cousin. I’m going to get sh-- for that, but anyone in our family would agree. I have such an amazing family, and Josh is one of the biggest reasons why. We don’t get to see each other as much as we want, but when we do, we make it count.
Zach Shay is my nephew and easily one of my favorite human beings ever. I’ve been Zach’s uncle since 1993 and watching him grow up has been one of the best experiences of my life. He is definitely a huge reason why I want to have children one day.
Paul Shay is my older brother and my biggest inspiration. I’ve looked up to him my entire life and still do. He was the best older brother a kid could ever have. I love Paul with all my heart! I would put my life in his hands in a heartbeat. It was a no brainer that he would be my best man.
Mark Shay is my younger brother and my best friend. Mark and I are two years apart, and we had an amazing childhood growing up together. I’ve absolutely loved watching Mark grow up. We're extremely close and always will be, and once again, it was a no brainer to have Mark as my best man as well.
Chris “Biddy” Wilson has been my best friend for the past 17 years. I’ll never forget the day I came home on Christmas Eve when I was 11 years old and saw a new kid on my street. I rolled down on my skateboard three houses down, and we instantly became best buds. We haven’t missed a Christmas day celebration at my parents for 17 years straight. Chris isn’t just a friend anymore--he’s my brother, and a big part of my family.
Alex Boyd is my day one! Alex and I have been best friends for almost 10 years now. He’s is very special person that is loved by everyone. He’s the life of the party everywhere he goes. My favorite thing about him is that he knows who he is and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. I respect him so much, and he plays a huge roll in my life.
Ryan Diaz is one of my closest friends. Ryan and I are so alike it’s crazy! Ryan is one of the nicest most loyal guys I’ve ever met. Ryan and I have been through a lot over the years and have never broken once. I’m so thankful for his friendship and know that we will be close friends for the rest of our lives.
From left to right Scheana breaks down who and why she picked each bridesmaid:
Stacie Adams is like a sister to me and one of my very best friends. We got close when we worked together at the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills, and we ended up becoming roommates. She and I have shared so many insane memories together and have gotten in our share of trouble over the years. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding last year, and it wouldn't have been the same if she wasn't in mine.
Andrea Ficken and I have been friends since college. We were in the same "small group communications" class my senior (her junior) year, and we just hit it off. At the time she and I both had long, super dark hair, and like Brooke back in high school, we would get confused for each other when we went out. I was also a bridesmaid in her wedding years ago, and it wasn't even a question to have her be a part of mine!
Ariana Madix and I became friends when she started at Villa Blanca a few years back, and that friendship has grown immensely. We've been through a lot together over the past three years, and I just love her so much! As opposite as our personalities can be, we just click and get each other.
Seeing as my sister is only 17, I felt I should have Brooke Bryant as my co-MOH to help with planning the more "adult" things, so to speak. Brooke and I have been best friends since we were 16, and we even worked our first restaurant job together senior year at Marie Callender's. People would always get us mixed up and called us twins, which we had fun with. We've always talked about being in each other’s wedding since high school, but I was first to walk down the aisle.
Cortney Erin was an obvious choice, as she is my sister. Over the last few years since she's been a teenager, my sister and I have gotten a lot closer, and she's the girl I've always wanted standing right next to me when I got married.
If it wasn't for Adri Marino I don't know if Shay and I would've gotten married. Adri and I were same year in high school and her little brother and Shay were same year and best friends. The four of us used to hang out all the time and carpool together our senior year. Adri and I have stayed good friends over the years, and I can't wait to be in her wedding one day, too!
Pandora Vanderpump Sabo is my birthday twin sister. She was, by far, the most helpful with the planning process of everything leading up to the wedding. She has always been such a good friend to me, and it was great to have some of my married friends be a part of my special day to help me through it.
Jenna Willis and I became friends when she started working at Villa Blanca a few years back. What's funny is everyone told her to stay away from me, because I was a bitch, and I ended up being her first friend at Villa Blanca, and since then we've gotten so much closer. She's so much fun to be around even when she drives me nuts! Haha.
