Now We Know Why Vanderpump Rules Newbie Dayna Kathan Looks So Familiar
Fellow new cast member Brett Caprioni also had a connection to the crew before becoming a SURver.
There are some new faces on Vanderpump Rules this season, but you've definitely seen some of them before.
As we got to know the newbies of Lisa Vanderpump's culinary establishments in the Season 8 premiere, we were reminded that we've actually met SURver Dayna Kathan before. Dayna was one of the women who partied with the Vanderpump Rules guys in Season 7 while the ladies took a trip to the wine country in Solvang, California.
Dayna even ended up in the bathroom with Peter Madrigal, although there's some dispute over what actually went down that night. Peter said they made out, but Dayna claims he tried to kiss her, she leaned away, and that was that. "I have no idea why Peter is saying we made out," Dayna said during an interview in the Vanderpump Rules Season 8 premiere. "I'm pretty sure I'd remember my first time making out with a pirate."
Now that Peter is Dayna's manager at SUR, he sat down with her at Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz's housewarming party to make sure things weren't going to be awkward for them. "I was just making sure that it was not gonna be anything weird between us," he said, to which Dayna assured him, "There's no weirdness on my side."
Dayna's fellow new cast member Brett Caprioni was also in the Vanderpump Rules-verse before becoming a SURver. He used to be Lisa's personal trainer, but he recently admitted to ET that you can't really tell the Vanderpump Rules boss what to do because "she calls the shots."
Brett also told ET that he's looking forward to Vanderpump Rules fans getting to know him and the rest of the new cast members this season. "I just want them to be excited for new faces," he said. "New people, new energy, stuff like that. I’m looking forward to the reaction to that."
Most importantly, these newcomers have received two thumbs up from Lisa. "They're definitely exciting, and they're a lot of fun," she said of the show's new cast members during a recent interview with Access Daily.
