Where in the World Is Hugh Acheson?
The 'Top Chef' judge has several new high-profile gigs.
Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson is adding some miles to his frequent flier account. The chef is expanding his culinary travels in 2015 with two high-profile gigs.
First off, he will be a featured member of the Friends of the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 during thus year's world's fair. He's slated to appear at the James Beard American Restaurant section. Another Top Chef judge, Tom Colicchio, will also play a big part at the event serving as one of the USA Pavilion Advisory Board members.
"This is really an unbelievable line-up, and it's only the start," USA Pavilion Chief Creative Officer and James Beard Foundation Executive Vice President Mitchell Davis shared about the upcoming event taking place this May through October. "In keeping with the model set by the U.S. men's Olympic basketball team in 1992, our goal as organizers of the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano is to bring together the very best that America has to offer the world. We aim to excite, delight and inspire and I think we're well on our way to doing that. We can't wait to give the world a taste of American Food 2.0."
Hugh is also featured on the cover of the 2015 official state travel guide for his home state of Georgia. The magazine is intended for tourists as they make their way around the home of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Considering he's so busy being out and about, Hugh recently shared what he likes to listen to while on the road. "Marc Maron, funny but very insightful," he told Best Chefs America. "Also Serial, I canít wait for the next season."
