What Do Mary Kate Olsen and Melissa McCarthy Have in Common?
Dukes of Melrose stars Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos have the answer.
What do Mary Kate Olsen and Melissa McCarthy have in common? They’ve both been dressed by styling gurus Christos Garkinos and Cameron Silver, owners of the high-end Hollywood boutique, Decades. Their new show Dukes of Melrose (premiering tonight, Wednesday, March 6th at 10:30/9:30c) as part of Bravo's Fashion Night gives viewers an inside look at the world of vintage couture.
Decades draws Hollywood royalty on a daily basis, and keeping up with it all can be taxing. “The arguments tend to deal with money, just like any other relationship. Most divorces don’t necessarily terminate because of infidelity but because of money pressure, and I think the same thing happens in a business relationship,” says Cameron.
But disagreements never last long, according to Christos. “The thing is, Cameron and I have known each other for almost 20 years, so we’re super close, like brothers, and we definitely have our arguments. They’re mostly around trying to make the business be the best it can be.”
And business has been booming. Dukes of Melrose’s first season features high-level iconic fashion talent ranging from Dita Von Teese to Phyllis Diller, to big screen celebs like Melissa McCarthy and Ashley Madekwe.

“Certainly the store has an epic, bold-name clientele, but it’s really about the real people who are the most rewarding people to dress,” says Cameron.
“I’ve worked with many people over the years, and I’m just as proud of dressing 13,000 women for their individual red-carpet moments, whether it be going to a bat mitzvah or a special occasion,” adds Christos. “I remember I dressed Mary Kate Olsen when she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. [We run] the gamut from [styling] everyday women to people like that.”
