Victoria Beckham Suffered a Not-So-Posh Hostess Foul this Halloween
At least she put out a handwritten apology.
When in London, it pays to trick-or-treat early — especially if you want to meet Victoria and David Beckham. On Tuesday, the famous couple was all ready to celebrate Halloween, and kicked off the day by festooning their town house with some ghoulish decor.
Victoria posted a snap of David decking their (terribly posh) home with a spooky hanging skeleton. Who knew the soccer pro was such a handyman?
So far, so good!
But, it seems that the Beckham house got quite the rush of little goblins and ghosts clutching candy pails. Sometime into the evening, the family posted a handwritten note regretfully informing trick-or-treaters: "All out of candy. Sorry! Happy Halloween."
Well, at least they were polite while crushing little ones' dreams. The only question we have is: what treats did the early birds get? We know Victoria loves to indulge in an afternoon tea, so we're imagining pumpkin-flavored macarons and teeny, glazed fruit tarts. Or, maybe some Hot Tamales, since Victoria is an Aries.
And while we may never know exactly which type of candy they ran out of, at least we know the Beckhams celebrate Halloween in style — and with proper English manners.
