The Sweet Home Oklahoma Ladies Have an Amazing Response to Vicki Gunvalson's Criticism of Their Home
We didn't expect that from the #SweetHomeOklahoma pals.
When Vicki Gunvalson's daughter Briana Culberson moved to Oklahoma, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom was not only upset that they would no longer be living in the same state, but she also never seemed to be the biggest fan of where her child would soon be calling home. Briana decided to move to Oklahoma when her husband Ryan Culberson, who is in the Marine Corps, was stationed there following a tour in Afghanistan.
But the ladies of Sweet Home Oklahoma absolutely love their home state, and watching all of the fun they have, we can totally see why. So of course, we've been dying to know what they have to say about Vicki's not-quite-rave-reviews about the Sooner State.
You might think that Angie "Pumps" Sullivan, Jennifer Welch, and Lee Murphy would have fiercely defended their home state since they take so much pride in it. But they actually said that they understood where Vicki was coming from with her comments. "She had never been [to Oklahoma]. She was losing her daughter. Her daughter was moving," Lee told one caller during Sunday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show. "It was very emotional."
Although Pumps added that Vicki "was wrong" when she dissed Oklahoma, Jennifer said that, having now filmed a reality show herself, she couldn't be mad at Vicki for her comments on RHOC. "We would never criticize what anybody says when the cameras are following them because we just did that," she explained. "And Pumps said some really horrible things, and we've forgiven her. We've totally forgiven her. So Vicki, no worries."
Pumps also said that she thinks she knows why Oklahoma may have rubbed Vicki the wrong way. "Plus, if you don't live there, the heat will kill you," she joked.
Luckily for Vicki, she may never have to travel to Oklahoma again, since Briana moved back to California last year. However, Ryan is still stationed in Oklahoma City, and he flies back to Orange County every week as he awaits a medical discharge, the RHOC spouse revealed when he called in to the After Show of the April 5 episode of WWHL.
