Venita Aspen Reveals Why She and Boyfriend Manny Broke Up: "He's Not Coming Back"

Southern Charm cast member Venita Aspen explained why her relationship took a surprising turn.

When Southern Charm Season 10 was announced, it was revealed that Venita Aspen and her boyfriend Manny had broken up. More recently, on Season 10, Episode 5 of the series, Venita explained exactly why they had gone their separate ways.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

During a party at Craig Conover's house, the conversation turned to the Charleston dating scene. After Molly O'Connell was pressed about there being a special man in her life, Venita was asked where her own beau was. Was he in New York for the weekend?

"Did I not tell you?" she responded. "Manny moved to New York. For Broadway."

In a flashback from a few weeks prior, the duo discussed how Manny was moving for the next four months minimum. "I feel like we need to have a conversation now about the fact that you keep saying four months," Manny told a visibly upset Venita. "It's probably going to be longer than that."

Back at the party, Ryan Albert responded, "Well, I knew he got the Broadway gig," to which Venita stated, "Oh no, baby, he's not coming back."

As for how she feels about the situation? "I'm here," she said. "So like, one day at a time. My mom's disappointed. This is the only boy she's ever liked, and I've dated quite a few men."

In a confessional, she shared more about the sad situation.

"New York is his dream. Broadway is his dream," she said. "But I was not included in a lot of the plans."

Venita Aspen and Manny's relationship history

Though they'd known each other for a long time, Venita and Manny started dating after Season 8 of Southern Charm wrapped filming. During Season 9, we saw more of them as a couple as they headed on sweet dates and discussed moving in with each other. At one point, an engagement was even on the table.

"It's been five years of friendship [and] a year-and-a-half of dating," Venita explained during a November 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "We've talked about the engagement, but I'm a stickler and very Type A, so I want it to look a certain kind of way, and he's like, 'Oh, we can get engaged tomorrow and I'm like, 'No, plan it!'

"But, the plan is that [he] is my forever, so [I'm] keeping my fingers crossed," she continued.

To see where life takes Venita next (maybe even romantically!), tune into Southern Charm Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
