Tracy Tutor Reveals Why She Split from Erik Anderson: "The Truth Is..." (EXCLUSIVE)
The MDLLA cast member spoke about navigating her breakup on the show: "I don't know if I've ever been more vulnerable."
In addition to closing deals, Tracy Tutor is closing a chapter in her personal life on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15.
The real estate agent, who joined the cast back in Season 10 — before she divorced Jason Maltas — is navigating her split from fitness trainer Erik Anderson in the new set of episodes.
Ahead of the Season 15 premiere on July 10, Tracy chatted exclusively with The Daily Dish about approaching the one-year anniversary of her breakup, and why she's decided to remain friends with her ex.
Erik and the mom of two, who were 19 years apart in age, split up largely because the trainer wanted to have kids one day. Tracy, whose daughters are both teenagers, didn't want to repeat that chapter of her life. As a result, after living together and training together, Tracy and Erik broke up. But because their split was amicable, Tracy and Erik have remained friends (and she even sold him a condo).
"We’re good," she told The Daily Dish. "We’re approaching one year of transitioning our relationship into more of a friendship."
Tracy recognizes that most may not understand why she wanted Erik to remain in her life. However, she said, because the two are not currently in relationships with other people, they've been able to stay friends.

"Some people might say, 'How the heck do you get over somebody if they’re sort of in your life every day?' And, the truth is, we maintained that friendship, and I won’t say that every day was easy," she continued. "There are certainly moments and challenges, but he brought a lot of wonderful things to my life for the past three-and-a-half years."
The real estate agent understands that her relationship with Erik might pivot again in the future, but the exes are on good terms for the time being.
"I think we truly care about each other, so that’s what we’re working on. Neither of us [is] in a new relationship, so it’s been a little bit easier," she said to The Daily Dish. "I’m sure when that gets a little more complicated, we’ll face it, but in the meantime, we’re just maintaining a good friendship and he’s training me still and it’s been pretty good."
Tracy Tutor talks about reliving the split on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15
With the Season 15 premiere date quickly approaching, Tracy is feeling a bit nervous about the prospect of watching the early days of her breakup back.
"I don’t know if I’ve ever been more vulnerable on the show than I was [with the breakup], you know? I mean, I went through my divorce with Jason pretty privately because that was my first season, and I wasn’t prepared for my kids and for the sanctity of maintaining some semblance of privacy during that really difficult time. And that was difficult," she shared. "This time around, I had to make a choice to allow myself to open up to millions of people about what I was living and I don’t regret it."
As such, Tracy does think it will "be difficult to watch it along with everybody else."
"But, at the end of the day, and I’m proud of myself for being truthful and being honest about where I was," she said. "I think that there’s nothing more powerful after kind of living it obviously on television, for a female in business [who's] viewed as being a powerful career woman to show vulnerability like that I think just made me feel even more powerful."
She also believes that talking about her split on the show "forced" her "to face things head on," which "helped" her "get through it a little bit more."
